Canada Through the Lens

If you were to ask a dozen people to define what “Canada” means to them, you would likely get a dozen different responses. When I think of Canada, one of the first things I visualize in my mind is its vast and diverse landscape.

As a photographer, landscapes are what I enjoy photographing most. The western landscape, in particular, found in the mountains and foothills of southern Alberta, hold the greatest amount of interest for me. These places are as old as time, and it is here where I can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Time can pass quickly here, as quickly as the clouds that are whisked across its endless, open skies. The views, vistas, and opportunities for photography are infinite in this awe-inspiring space. It is a delightful, beautiful, and sometimes, surreal place to spend time making photographs.

Happy Canada Day everyone!
